Course Description
Automated External Defibrillators (AED) are becoming more common in our communities. An AED can dramatically increase a collapsed person’s chance of survival. The course is designed to empower people to have confidence in using the device in an emergency situation. In the event of a life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia, every second counts. The faster an Automated External Defibrillator can be successfully applied and used, the higher the chance of survival from cardiac arrest. Even shaving off the shortest amounts off time, can mean the difference between life and death. This course includes the safety aspect of the defibrillation, the after use and the ongoing maintenance of the AED. Course duration is of 3 hours.
Certification
On successful completion of this course, you will receive an Automated External Defibrillators (AED), Adult and Child certificate which is valid for three years. Hard copy of the certificate is included in the price.
What is included
- Training delivered by a qualified Nurse Instructor with experience in emergency setting;
- Course covers the physical, psychological, emotional, and legal aspect of patients and the emergency first responder;
- The use of disposable disinfection wipes between each participant. Wipes used covers tuberculocidal, viricidal, fungicidal and bactericidal;
- COVID-19 approach and management;
- Latest training equipment includes QCPR mannequins and latest models of AED trainer;
- Delivering training at Academy or one’s place of choice;
- Strict infection control measures;
- Surgical gloves during practice to each participant;
- For BLS/AED – the dummies’ lungs changed with every session and all manikins will be disinfected post lecture.
