Requirements
- A practical session is required after completion of the theory section
- In the event of a student not passing the practical test on their initial try, they are granted an additional attempt, free of charge
- Course bookings must be made no later than one day before the course date

Course Description
ATLS course in spinal injuries and immobilization is aimed to train participants to apply the necessary adjuncts in order to minimize movement of the spinal column in most trauma patients. Manual in line stabilization is also included in the course, in order to minimize any movement of the neck or spine. This course also provides training in log rolling of all patients with suspected or with spinal injury. Course duration is of 5 hours.Â
Certification
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Spinal Immobilization certificate which is valid for three years. Hard copy of the certificate is included in the price.
What is included
- Training delivered by a qualified Nurse Instructor with experience in emergency setting;
- Course covers the physical, psychological, emotional, and legal aspect of patients and the emergency first responder;
- The use of disposable disinfection wipes between each participant. Wipes used covers tuberculocidal, viricidal, fungicidal and bactericidal;
- Training provided at an institute or one’s place of choice;Â
- Strict infection control measures;
- Surgical gloves during practice to each participant.
Important Information
This course is available for a minimum of 25 people. Kindly note that if you book this course, the date will be communicated directly via email. If within 1 month, 25 people are not gathered for this course, you will be notified and refunded back the full price.
