As a medical professional working in Emergency Medicine in Malta since 1995 and a previous President of the Malta Resuscitation Council and the Association of Emergency Medicine of Malta, I greatly value individuals who demonstrate a genuine commitment to first aid and basic life support education, and the wellbeing of our community. It is therefore my pleasure to provide this testimonial for Mr Gesmond Micallef of Malta First Aid who I first met and worked with about 30 years ago. Gesmond always worked with enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication promoting high standards of care. He has also shown commitment to teaching and his practical approach to teaching helps participants develop not only the necessary knowledge and skills, but also the confidence to respond effectively when faced with a medical emergency. This is particularly important because prompt and appropriate first aid and basic life support can make a significant difference during the critical minutes before professional medical assistance arrives.
