BLS/AED and Choking Adult, Child and Infant
Requirements
- A practical session is required after completion of the theory section
- In the event of a student not passing the practical test on their initial try, they are granted an additional attempt, free of charge
- Course bookings must be made no later than one day before the course date

Course Description
This 6 hour course provides participants with essential Basic life support skills that could prove essential when faced with a medical emergency in scenarios including adults, children and infants. This course is divided into theoretical sessions, discussions, demonstrations, and scenarios; providing the participants with various scenarios related to illness and traumatic incidents as well as choking. This course is suitable for anyone over the age of 14 who wants to be prepared and trained in what to do when dealing with an adult, child or infant in need of help in an out-of-hospital setting.
Those who would like to do the adult only version may do the Adult Course which does not include all age groups.
Certification
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a BLS/AED and Choking Adult, Child and Infant certificate which is valid for three years.
What is included
- Training delivered by a qualified Nurse Instructor with experience in emergency setting;
- Course covers the physical, psychological, emotional, and legal aspect of patients and the emergency first responder;
- The use of disposable disinfection wipes between each participant. Wipes used covers tuberculocidal, viricidal, fungicidal and bactericidal;
- COVID-19 approach and management; Â
- Latest training equipment includes QCPR mannequins and latest models of AED trainer; Â
- Training provided at an institute or one’s place of choice;Â
- Strict infection control measures;
- Surgical gloves during practice to each participant;Â
- For BLS/AED – the dummies’ lungs changed with every session and all manikins will be disinfected post lecture.
